On the second day of the Hue field trip, 2022, the MBA students intake 5th had a great opportunity to visit the IT company named DMI Hue two members of a company limited that was established in 2018, based in No 78 Ben Nghe, Phu Hoi ward, Hue city, Thua Thien Hue province. The mother company is located in Japan.
In the DMI Hue company, the general affairs officer – M.s Dang Thi Thu Phuong and the head of the technical department – Mr. Dang Chau Anh welcomed warmly VJU students with much useful information. In the beginning, she introduced all departments, their function, their clients, and partnerships. Most employees are young people so they can work overtime frequently. Major customers of the company come from Japan so they have to follow high standards strictly from customers. Then, she shared many strategies on human resources, operations, sales, how they overcome the difficult time during covid 19, and several plans to expand their business in the future. At the end of the meeting, we answered many questions related and then we took some photos together with lovely smiles.
What we learned from DMI company:
- How does the company operate in a highly competitive field that lacks professional personnel?
- The process of recruiting, training, and retaining talents for local and global projects is concerned and focused.
- Machines and equipment are invested and imported from Japan to meet high requirements from customers in this field.
- The way they complete projects, and work as a team to get high performance in a short period of time.
+ Companies operating in the IT field adapted quickly to working from home or combining working at the office and working from home during Covid -19.
What we were impressed with at the company:
DMI Hue company, although newly established, has attracted about 100 employees with an employee retention rate of about 75% – 80% of employees. This confirms that the IT field has a strong attraction in the future, especially for young people.
What are the recommendations we can make for improving business performance for the company?
In addition to outsourcing products to Japanese partners, DMI Hue should expand to more customers who are Vietnamese companies or Japanese companies with offices in Vietnam.
